Description
The City of Cherokee created a bioretention basin centrally located in the city in 2018. The water quality initiative will consist of two bioretention cells that provide treatment of urban runoff, thereby reducing the nutrient and sediment loading ultimately discharging to the Little Sioux River and promoting water recreation uses such as boating, fishing, and related endeavors.
