Description
The City of Coralville in partnership with the City of North Liberty is reconstructing a mile-long section of Coral Ridge Avenue/ Highway 965/Ranshaw Way. This project highlights the main entrances to both cities. It incorporates the reconstruction of four lanes, two are new, of traffic and also includes additional turn lanes, a multiuse trail, stormwater improvements and streetscaping. The stormwater improvements that are part of this project include the addition of 29 new bio-retention cells.

The combination of the past and future project will be the largest stretch of green infrastructure ever installed in Iowa. The bio-retention cells will treat 189,000 gallons of rain during an average rain event and 4,381,616 gallons during an average year.
