Plant Cover Crops Now and Save This Winter 10-18-2024

Sign-up for the Crop Insurance Discount Program starts December 2.

The program, which is offered by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, provides farmers and landowners who plant fall cover crops the opportunity to apply for a $5 per acre discount on their spring crop insurance premiums.

The discount is applied on premiums for verified cover crop acres. No other state/federal cover crop funding on the same acre.
