Description

The Mahaska County SWCD has sought to address several key objectives and goals through the South Skunk River and Cedar Creek (headwaters) Watershed Project. The watershed planning and development project was created with the intent to implement agricultural nutrient reduction strategy practices through meeting with landowners to ground-truth sites, complete conservation planning, and assessment, and work as a liaison with private engineering or other partner agencies to develop designs that lead to the implementation stage.
